Progress in 2016 included the final setting of the base and upper arch at the entrance of Travertini Paradiso, at the rim of a retired quarry. Contiinued rough-cutting of upper and lower blocks  in tandem; with particular focus being on the shaping of the inner ring, and the connecting sides.

Anello Eco (2012-2016...) emerges from Anello Ritorto(2006-2011).  The more intimate and soft turning undulations elemental in Anello Ritorto have evolved into monumental gestures of twisting planes, establishing an inner, repeating loop - an echo.  Anello Echo is being carved in Silver Travertine coming from the Paradiso Travertine quarry in Rapolano (Siena), Italy.  In early 2012, work began on the preliminary layout and cutting stages and included hand-drafted profile transcriptions on quarried blocks, initial diamond-wire cutting, and initial hand carving.

.

In 2013, work continued on the upper of two blocks, rough cutting the upper arch of Anello Eco.  Continuing in 2014, the lower of two blocks was started, joining the upper arch, and shaping the overall gesture of the Anello Eco.

.

In May, 2015 the upper and lower blocks were again separated in order to facilitate access in finishing the rough cutting of the uppermost and lowermost sections.  Below are a selection of the preliminary studies through key stages of the ongoing stone carving.

In March, 2016 the upper and lower blocks were reconnected to check the continuity of forms throughout.  The final site installation is scheduled for the summer.
